Explore our current exhibitions through free guided and self-guided tours. Whether you’re visiting with a school group, community organization, or simply with friends or family, our tours offer an engaging way to connect with contemporary art and artists.
1 Hour Guided tour + Art Activity
Experience the gallery through a fun and engaging guided tour and hands-on art activity! This 1-hour visit includes a staff-led exploration of a featured exhibition followed by a take-home, mixed-media art project inspired by what you’ve seen.
Each activity is tailored to the age and interests of your group, encouraging creativity, reflection, and connection to the artwork. This is a great option for school classes, community groups, homeschoolers, and more!
Advance booking is required.
To ensure we can prepare materials and schedule staff, please contact the Learning Department to book your visit at least 2–4 weeks in advance.
For groups of 20 or more, early booking is especially important so we can create the best possible experience for everyone.
Self-guided tour
Available during regular gallery hours, self-guided tours offer visitors the flexibility to explore our exhibitions at their own pace. Perfect for individuals, families, and groups looking for a more independent experience, these tours allow you to engage with the artwork in a way that suits your interests and schedule.

- Organization’s name
- Contact person’s e-mail and phone number
- Requested date, time and duration of your visit
- Alternative date and time of your visit
- Number of visitors in your group. If you are coming with a school or community group under the age of 18, please specify grade level or age of your group members.

We offer guided tours for schools, community groups, and the public, as well as self-guided experiences. Tours focus on current exhibitions, artists, and themes, encouraging discussion and engagement with the artwork.
Tours are free of charge, though donations are always appreciated to support our educational programs.
Yes, we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability, especially for large groups.
Tours usually last 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the group’s needs and engagement level.
Absolutely! Visitors are welcome to explore the gallery at their own pace during regular hours.
You can book a tour by filling out our online request form, calling the gallery, or emailing our education team.

Yes, we provide tours designed for different grade levels.
We typically accommodate groups of 5 to 28 people. Larger groups may be split into smaller sections.
Our educators may customize tours to align with specific subjects, themes, or learning goals. We recommend you reaching out 4 to 5 weeks in advance to inquire if possible.
Yes, the gallery is fully wheelchair accessible, with elevators and accessible washrooms available in the Montrose Cultural Centre.
We strive to be inclusive. Please contact us 4 to 5 weeks in advance so that we may try to accommodate your request.
Currently, tours are only provided in English.
Yes, support workers and companions are always welcome.
Some exhibitions include interactive elements, but not all.
Yes, strollers are welcome in the gallery.
Please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel your booking.
Photography is allowed, but flash photography and tripods are not permitted. Some exhibitions may have restrictions.
We have a coat rack and limited storage, but we recommend traveling light.
We offer select virtual walkthroughs of limited exhibitions online at AGGP.ca these walkthroughs are Unguided.
